Because I want to put in a few long years in at a major... Those years are getting fewer and fewer. I'm sure alot of people here have that same dream of retiring on that 75, 76, 77 or 78 edit: not to mention get paid a decent wage. Not just for the plane ofcourse

At the rate Majors are losing scope, a lot less are going to make it to the other end.

Wow, on behalf of myself, my family and my kids I would like to welcome you to the RAH management screwfest. I, being a furloughed RAH, am sitting in line next to you and have been here for awhile.

Your not the only one this negatively effects, please dont make this personal and about the pilots. We are all getting played by our own companies and its because we beat eachother up on the playground instead of making a united stand that our respective authority figures get away with continued rape.

The industry has changed and until the pilots that make up the ALPA, USAPA and APA unions change their scope you cannot blame RAH pilots for this.

RAH pilots: all we ask is that you fight tooth and nail for good wages on your 170s and 190s.

You're right, it's not the length of flights...it's the pay. Or more appropriately the LACK THERE OF!

Okay, soooo. If Midex pilots really wanted to up the ante and seriously inflame tensions. Perhaps create some controversey. Here is what they could do.... They could do some infomational picketing. Tell the customers who they are really flying on. Tell customers have crews that work a minimum wages, low experience, etc. Use the recent publicity of Colgan as scare tactic on people... Use fear as your weapon against the company. If they started turning people away at the door, left and right, it might get somebodies attention.

I wish pilots had balls like that.... I recall when NetJets were making $50K/yr as Citation X captains some of them wanted to tell their multi-millionaire pax what they were making, flying them around (and the ridiculous turn over they had as a result), but they were to scared to lose their jobs.
