Typing "anywhere but here" would have required less letters, you know...

My first post in response apparently didn't suffice as you wanted a more elaborate answer. So there ya go.

Ya know TD, I tried to ask an honest question in order to understand your reasoning, and had only hoped to get an honest response. I'll not make that mistake again.

FWIW, I hope you're not at Republic against your own desires in a decade, either. And I honestly mean that.

I agree. Republic needs to toe the line... JetBlue pay scale for the E190 and the status of our profession will be maintained.

They're the trailblazers for the future just as Comair was for the '90's.

DUDE the other REGIONALS are not going to get E190... major airline unions will not change scope language to allow 100 seats aircraft. The deal is...

Republic is buying a National Airline

and they could be flying 777 international next year.

So a National is buying a National or two....this is the 21 century.

I gave you an honest response. No sarcasm. My plans and aspirations are broad and indirect. The only sure thing is that I didn't come to a regional wanting to stay in the right seat. I plan on moving on. You ask me where and I have no idea it will involve market conditions, company financial stability, pilot age group, who has what contracts after this round of negotiations go through, which can offer the best QOL etc. From Pax to freight to some place like netjets the future is so muddy there's no point in being unrealistic and making a 10yr plan when in 6months the entire dynamics could change. The thing I'm certain of is what I don't want and that includes being stuck in the right seat of an erj for the next decade. It offers no growth and all he SIC time in the world opens no doors here. It'll have to stay as vague as that because it's all I have.
