Until they try and overnight 6 planes on the ramp... originated the morning after I don't think I could fit a pen between the wing and the terminal.

flew ATR-42-300's in there back in the early 90's and unless my memory is totally wacked we always had pretty heavy loads in and out of there... that as RDU-HHH-RDU

As for C-130's doing bounces there... would have to see it to believe it..

Have about 1500ish hours in hercs and know I never did bounce's at a place that short.. fwiw.. we use to routinely do assault landings on 3000x60 foot paved and UNPAVED strips... lightweight... down around 95-100k pounds could feasibly be done in less than 2200 landing. Its more fun than you should be allowed to have in a plane

They changed the landing numbers for Mesaba Saabs just before they puled out of HHH. Before all their landing data was calculated with ice. Not they are including landing data without ice for HHH. It makes a big difference and the saabs should be taking more than half loads in and out.

The Saabs return next month so I guess you will all find out just how well it can do this summer.

That makes no sense whatsoever for a place like Hilton Head...did they do the same thing for places like MEM & TUP?

It is done that way for every destination. HHH is the only one that creates a problem.

Rookie. 35 / max (required anyway) and it's a non-event. No different than LYH or OAJ under the same conditions.
