this is an example of leadership, that is what is sorely needed in not only MEM, but a few other locations.
I agree, don't campaign and don't self nominate, it should be by the will of the pilots, not who has a better spiel.

Sadly, the last few LEC meetings I have attended in the past few years have had such poor turnout and recent LEC elections have had a paltry number of return votes, all of this occuring during negotiations. You must remember that YOU(pilot group) are the association. You elected these individuals to represent you, whether you voted or not.

I know someone still there who might be interested in running, but he is afraid of painting a big target on his back with the current leadership/training department and management.
How do you "get on the ballot" when they only allow the top two nominees to be on the ballot? It seems like a popularity contest tilted to keep those inside on the inside.

PM me and I can get you some more votes as long as the guy/gal seems level headed. I will support ANY FO who has the drive and will to stand up for the needs, wants, and desires of the MEM FO's. This should NOT be a popularity contest, it should be someone who has "had enough" and is willing to put the time and effort to trudge forth with a level head for MEM FO's, the overall pilot group, and the end goal of bettering the entire profession.
