I don't understand what the problem is? Maybe he is suggesting your plane is slow. Doesn't mean he thinks his plane is fast or faster. I think slowtation is an appropriate nickname.

Straight wing Citations being called slowtations is a well known and funny joke.
Calling a Citation X slow? Haha I could think of many things to call it that would make my GF blush, but def not slow.

You'd like this one:
2 years ago, JFK. We're holding short of the runway (Hawker 800), behind us, a Comair CRJ. Ground said "Executive jet 895, taxi across the runway and hold short on the other side" I replied..... ground then says "Comair ###, taxi into position and hold" the comair F/O said something like "what about this little jet infront of us, is he going to get out of the way"....
funny thing is we were going to Cancun, they were probably going to Albany or Syracuse

I guess only from the glory days of aviation did flying the *big* metal mean so much.

I'm not sure how this merits a post.... He called you a slowtation... you told him .92 isn't slow... he told you 250 below 10... sounds like the banter went both ways and you just felt you lost because he got the last word.. so you come to APC so you can once again brag that you fly a plane faster than a dash 8... I'm just trying to sort out how it doesn't just become water off a ducks back....

From: I only fly multi-winged airplanes.
I heard a C402 refer to a Citation as a Slowtation on final...of course the tower asked the slowtation to speed up because a C402 was closing in behind him. And then the C402 was instructed to turn 45 degrees to the left to give the Slowtation more seperation. LoL.

From: Left seat, wait right seat, no no left seat, nope right seat! Ummmm, I guess I am confused
All I know is that nobody messes with us Saabomatics!! If they do we just slice their little wingtips off and keep on truckin at 250!!
I will miss that airplane but flying the 900 should be fun as well, just a different kind of fun.

LOL i dont fly a X but we do cruise at .81/.82 in our jet. Yesterday going into CLE ATC was keeping us back to 280kts. Then he gives us normal speed, the Capt and i both chuckle and comply. a few min later atc asks for our speed again we say 380kts he laughs and says slow 310 you've got a 60kt gain on the RJ ahead.

Something with a normal cruise speed over 0.90M, like the X? Not so much.
