Not trying to come off as a jerk at all, but no, your CP was NOT typed on the CL-65 until attending initial with a MED return last fall.
I'm sure the gentleman can fly an airplane and has plenty of credentials, but the barbie jet was not one of them.

I have zero respect for a man who is in charge of the ENITRE pilot group and who I couldnt get a hold of when the poop hit the fan....their were many other people qualified for his job when DM's position became available....they had no right to hire outside of the company even if he did work here some time ago. How can someone who wasnt here during the most recent changes of our airline have the pulse of the men and women who currently worked here and survived down grades base changes...carrier changes...all of that

I flew with one captain when I worked at AWAC who was "old AWAC" (former Dash-8 captain) who quit for a cargo job and was able to get rehired after that job went kaput a few years down the road.
Great dude and a blast to fly with, but also well-connected in ToonTown.

As far as it being wrong hiring from outside the company....Is this your company? Do you own it? Do you as a line pilot have any right or say in who they hire for CP? I don't think so. The people that pay the bills can hire whomever they dang well please. End of story. Now in your little storybook world, you might have liked someone else, but until you whip out your wallet and start funding this company...other than the concessions that we took.....then I suggest you leave the hiring to those who are in charge of it.

I beg to differ. Before he left, he flew as a CA in the jet for about 6 months. Kinda hard to fly as CA in the jet without a type now isn't it?
As far as it being wrong hiring from outside the company....Is this your company? Do you own it? Do you as a line pilot have any right or say in who they hire for CP? I don't think so.
