You might be the ONLY person I've viewed on here to put CRJ-200 Captain ASA on this avatar? Really???

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Check yours out and change that... No need for that. And last I checked there was no flamebait, just simply saying that this OUR flying mentality needs to change... To better ALL of us and our slim career aspirations...

People, do not squabble amongst yourselves like a pack of hungry dogs after scraps tossed in by a slave master. That's exactly what DAL management wants you to do. Divide and conquer. I am sure you all noticed, DAL changes who flies out where on a weekly basis. Who knows who will fly what out where next week or month. Just be glad you have a job for now and prepare for the worst just in case.

Looks like I really touched a nerve. Guess you don't like being called out.

Ok this is slightly getting out of control.... I simply stated that this "OH WE ARE GETTING screwed at ASA" mentality is annoying. This OUR FLYING stuff that is constantly talked about when last I checked the name that comes before the "connection" is whom the FLYING belongs to. You then continue to say that it cannot go like that because DAL would not fly the planes for what you fly them for. I simply stated you are right, because they would never lower the bar to such a payrate when they have better payrates established (which can still be improved) but when compared to even ASA are far better and have greater work rules and protection.....

Anyways... Again I rather see the flying go back to DAL.... And if nothing else perhaps more flying going to a Comair, Mesaba and other places that have more furloughs then ASA whom Skywest Inc managed to help out with some UAL flying..... Let alone you have viewed since you area Captain with ASA how Delta continues to give flying and take it away such as the 900's that you currently have.... How many others were those given to and then taken away from (Comair, Pinnacle, Mesaba any others?)???

Go ahead and quote the Dal "90 seat rate". (It's buried in the DAL PWA). Last time I checked it was below ours. Touche.

Soooo this thread is a disaster. Anyways, I find it to be a good step in repairing the riff among skywest management and ASA pilots. The Skywest ATL base has been a sore spot for many of us for some time, also the fact that skywest is recalling the VLA pilots instead of hiring off the street seems to be an appropriate step in the minds of many of our pilots. It's very interesting that they are making these decisions right before we start to vote for PBS.

Well keeping in mind DAL's is only a 12 year scale with bumps each year until 2012 I believe....

Right now DAL Captains flying the 900 would be

1 98.84
2 99.59
3 100.40
4 101.22
5 102.00
6 102.82
7 103.62
8 104.44
9 105.24
10 106.05
11 106.88
12 107.67

First Officers Start at 54.17 and end at 74 at 12 years.... Where's any regional close to that?

Better work rules, etc.... And tops out at year 12, is ASA an 18 year scale right?

The truth hurts, only when it should.

Sorry to be the first to tell you that the guys you work with don't like you.

Well you just shot yourself in the foot, ASA has more on furlough then Mesaba. Further more, don't blame SKYW Inc., ASA or SKYW for writing a contract that gives a certain percentages of flying. This is our job security and the bigger picture is, if other regionals can get such contracts then you would be singing a different tone. On the other hand "wholly owns" do not have the luxury of such contracts and that is unfortunate. But the bottom line is I chose ASA because of the RELATIVE job security due to their contract. Granted I am furloughed, I still wouldn't go anywhere else because other regionals are bit more vulnerable with the Delta shuffle. Furthermore SKYW Inc. parking ASA's planes does them no good. So the United flying wasn't a "gift" as you put it, it was a necessity because at the end of the day, it is still SKYW INC. A/C's and they don't want to park it.

You are right, because DAL actually has a REAL nice payrate for such flying... And that would force them to lower the bar and I DOUBT they will do that... They are not DESPERATE to fly for pennies like some others apparently are.

hmmm And PSA pay chart is.... better VS the rest of the regionals? Maybe you should clean house before you criticize the pay rates of other regionals. From what I see, your 200 pilots are paid the same as you 700 pilots. GREAT EXAMPLE of working for pennies. (I do apologize to other pilots at PSA, I do not mean to belittle you. Just trying to make a point.)

Say what? :) Oh lordy.... Dont make me change my thoughts on Mesa... As of now I have no reason to dislike or wish them and their pilot group any harm....
