Strange Rumor: XJ

Just heard the implausible rumor that XJ may file CH.11 again. Any truth to this?

Seems odd.

I don't know if you're screwing up airline codes. But XJ (Mesaba) going Ch11 would actually be DAL going Ch11 I believe.

Where did you hear that peach? That's less believeable than the merging with Comair rumor. And that one is completely unbelieveable right now.

That's what happens when people start talking in code.

Mesaba Airlines. XJ

Expressjet Airlines. XJET

I do in fact mean Mesaba. A subsidiary can in fact file for BK.

Heard from DAL

Why would Mesaba file for BK? What would the company gain by doisng so?

Your source of information is DAL! What source at Delta?

Mesa's J.O. recently spoke of keeping Go! out of Bk filing, but that seems unlikely since it's a wholly owned, (i.e. Delta files so ComAir had to). Even IF they could file seperately (can't think of any examples), why would they want to?

Was this from the cousin of a friend that a flight attendant's neighbor told you?!
