I was unable to call until Tuesday.... That is when Chuck told me the e-mail was in reference to scheduling interviews. The e-mail I recieved was so short that I wasn't sure if it was in fact for an interview or not. It just said please call and listed a number.

Did you apply on airlineapps.com,email your application, have it walked in, or some combination of these?

No No No I was saying since your going to be in the first class can't you bid for the Q if you want it in like 3 or 4 months or is there a seat lock?

It is my understanding that you will not be able to bid the Q until your one year seat lock is up. I don't know if they will allow you to delay training so as to allow you to be on the Q. My thinking is that they will offer you the Saab in a take it or we will withdraw the job offer sort of deal. Personally, I would bid the Saab... but then again I like the Saab.

So I wasn't sure how to take that either. He left me with the impression that when they start doing interviews again that they would contact me... That is why I was asking, because if they are still setting up interviews for upcoming dates then I know where I stand.

I'm with ya man, I got that same short email with the #, called and he asked if i had my ATP written done. Told him I'll have it in a couple days. He told me to call him when I get it, so I did, and he just said, "ok, I'll put you in. take care!" haha!! what's that mean? I'm so confused.. but who knows... just gotta be patient I guess! I'm trying so hard not to bug the @#$! out of him for an interview! I just can't keep instructing anymore. I've never been so determined to get a paycut! haha!!! the haters can say what they want, my QOL will go up if i go to colgan... KEYWORD: "MY" not yours...

LOL, yeah that is pretty much me also :D. I don't want to call him back and ask for the information, because I would like an opportunity to interview.... I don't have a good feeling that repeated calls will help that out any, LOL.

The exact order went: Added them as my targeted company on Airlineapps.com back in October of last year. Kept it updated through November. Late November I sent an e-mail to them, and got a short and sweet reply that said "See me next May". Then got an e-mail from them asking me to apply for a first officer position. So I replied to that e-mail and sent my resume and cover letter. Then a lady asked me to update my airlineapps.com information and send an e-mail back to them to let them know my information is ready for review. About an hour after I sent the "ready for review" e-mail, I received the short one with the telephone number. That was the Saturday before last..... The same day we later took mom to the hospital. After I knew she was going to make it, I called and talked to Chuck Colgan who told me the news about interviews for the past weekend.

I am pretty much wanting to find out if my chances of getting called for the next round of interviews will still exist? I told Chuck that mom was in the hospital all that past week, but I also didn't want to sound like a "storyteller" so I just kept it to "She was in ICU all last week", and didn't offer the long version.... Like I say, I figured they would think I was making excuses if I told them the long version. I hated to miss that opportunity to interview, but at the same time I would never have been able to forgive myself if my mom didn't make it.

If Colgan is what you want, DO NOT be patient. Keep calling until you get to talk to somebody.

And to the poster who had a family emergency: keep in touch. Colgan still advertises it has "family values", so if you stood by a loved one in a time of need, let them know. If you REALLY want it, forward some proof that your Mom was sick. It may help.

Oh, good Idea sir :). I just e-mailed Mr. Colgan with her discharge papers from the hospital.

from my understanding that assumption is true. they indicated that there used to be a seat lock, but that there is not one currently. that was one of their selling points - saying that we could bid the Q in like 6 months once we had enough seniority. I'll probably stay on the saab though

Seat lock is not the same as equipment lock. I highly doubt Colgan will allow people to swap equiptment when they want, and that Colgan will have no problem in covering the extra training cost.
