Two slots went relatively senior and the other 4 were the most junior. Anyone know the breakdown of the jan 30th class?

Does anyone know if the 250 PIC is a 'hard' number? Most of my time is CFI time, so unfortunately my actual PIC time as calculated by airlineapps.com is only around 200.

I don't really want to go out and spend a couple thousand dollars to rack up another 50 hours PIC if i don't HAVE to. Trust me, i'd love the flying, but i really don't have the funds!!

Have you counted your flight time after you received your Private as PIC. I shorted myself almost 30 hours because my flight school logged it only as dual received.

Almost everything after PPL was counted as PIC is i could log it legally.

I guess I was taught differently
61.51(e)(3) states an instructor may log flight time as PIC when that individual is instructing.

He's talking about airline apps..which breaks your times down into actual PIC time, solo time, and dual time. It is very specific about not putting your CFI time into the "PIC" time category. But when you get to the end of the process. It should total your PIC time correctly by adding the 3 of those categories into one.

It's a PITA but you'll be fine. The reason AE is requiring 250 PIC is for ATP mins. There are a bunch of FOs hired in 07-08 with 250 total time that don't meet mins, so they can't upgrade unless they go out and rent a warrior and get the 50-70 additional hours of PIC time they need.

I just did the full airline apps today as a matter of fact. Did anyone else find it extremely time consuming? I found it a complete pain to go back through 2 log books and separate the time in all the airplanes Ive flown and instructed in.
