Hey guys! New around here...Just wondering how long it usually takes from when the app is finished to when they give the "Hey can you come to an interview?" or the 'Thanks but no thanks" email? I sent my stuff in well over a month ago and update it weekly!

When I did my application through airlineapps it took them 3 days to e-mail me back to schedule the interview. This was on January 2011.
MAKE SURE that you have everything correct on the airlineapps application and just keep updating the application every week or so.
I know that they are behind because of bad weather that went through the Dallas area about 2 weeks ago and on top of that 2 recruiters went on vacation.

I've heard they've been sending guys home because their times don't match up on the airlineapps application and their logbook? How much of a difference warrants someone to be sent home? .1 or 10? I've had to audit my logbook once or twice because I've found a couple of discrepancies and I'm afraid when I input everything into the airlineapps application something may not match up.

Do your best to match the times on the online application and in your logbook. When I did my app. the PIC time was off like 20hrs and I didn't have a problem. IF there is a discrepancy you MUST tell Vicky Austin 2 weeks prior to the interview.

Cool man. Well, hopefully you will be getting a call today! When did you do the interview?
As far as the driving records go...if the recruiter went to check for it and came back saying that they didn't need it then I'm guessing you should be fine for the review board...otherwise he would have told you something about it.

Called up there and spoke with the new lady in recruiting. Apparently I didn't go into the review board today for whatever reason. She said she would check and make sure they have all my paperwork (they should as far as I know) and let me know if they are missing anything.
Otherwise I guess I will find out next Friday....hopefully.

Who is the new lady? It was Vicky Austin as far as I know, but I did read that someone else was going to take over. What's her name?

I think I also have a theory as to why the review board only meets once a week:
The review board captains are the same guys who do the interviews. They conduct interviews all week which as we know last all day. That leaves them no time to do the final review. So they have set aside Friday as a day to do that.
That would make sense, otherwise why only have the captain review board once a week? Plus, if this is the case it kind of takes the drama out of the equation a bit. Just knowing that the same guys who offered you the job (and got to speak with you one on one) are the same people who will be making the final decision is somewhat comforting.
I just hope we hear some good news by next Friday...
