They wont let line captains sit on board because they know what will happen.
So they put 2 ringers in there for show.

They are pilots, senior Captains actually, who currently hold management jobs. Both have been here longer than most if not all of us on this board; though JW really isn't here as a seniority list pilot any more. Clear as mud?

Although they do not fly the line now, they did and they are the review board.

Haha ya now the fun stuff begins. Do you have Griff's Sabre Guide? (Not the little book from the training center shop, but the .pdf file)

You can get it from the eagle alpa site if you :

goto eagle.alpa.org
login
click the "Bidding" tab
and on the bottom of the page there is a DECS guide

Send me a PM if that doesnt work and I can email it to you

So I'm wondering if yall can help me out here. I just got rejected from eagle today and of course they didnt say why. Im at 920/120, ATP written, 1st class med, BS degree, Current CFI, CFII, MEI currently instructing at a flight school ive been there as an instructor since I finished training. No failed checkrides, no marks on any of my records except for a speeding ticket in 2007. Could anybody help me shed some light on what I'm doing wrong here? Is it just a time thing? or a wait until all the more expierenced people get snatched up or what? Hope this doesnt come off as impatient just want to know how I can better myself, learn, and up get to the point where I can make the jump. Thanks everyone!

Jws3443,

I too was rejected initially from the Eagle application bank. My hours were higher, but everything else you mentioned were identical (including the 1 speeding ticket). My previous employer had an agreement with AE and by clicking this affiliation on Airline Apps, I got called for an interview (a few days after receiving the rejection notice). Not sure why you were rejected, but thought you might find comfort in knowing that an employed 121 guy was rejected too!

There is no rhyme or reason to airline hiring. Only way I can put it.

That is how the ball bounces. I got rejected by another carrier before getting hired at Eagle. I was in the same boat. Press on, it will happen, and you will never know the reason for the rejection, and in this business, that is how it is. And all the so called more experienced guys we have, there is a good handful I've heard not making it through training. So take the experience you have, apply around and don't worry about how many hours this guy has etc, cause once you get in, it doesn't matter any more. Good luck.
