After the dust settles on my end a little bit I'm going to start one big thread dealing with a couple of the common scare tactics that people throw around the forums. They are really getting annoying.

Just a teaser: Before my interview with Eagle I was losing my mind because multiple people on this forum kept saying over and over that they HATE to see whiteout in your logbooks. I kept hearing about how people were sent home because of whiteout, etc.... Thanks for adding to an already stressful situation guys..

I get to the interview with some whiteout in my logbook that goes back to my student pilot days. I had a few corrections to make on the last few pages and instead of using whiteout I created new columns at the bottom of my logbook with the correct totals.

Guess what the interviewer said to me when he saw that? "Use whiteout!" I did a double take! He said it again, "Get whiteout or greenout. It's no big deal." End....Of....Story!! Yet some people on here had me losing my mind over this whiteout situation.

That is just the beginning. There is so much more misinformation tossed around that I just can't stand it anymore. Most of it is from people who THINK they are sure of something that they have no personal experience with. That is a slippery slope. Expunged arrests is another topic.

Like I said, I will come back next week sometime and debunk some myths I have seen around here.
Yeah, seriously man, take a deep breath and relax. The response you'll get with regard to the use of whiteout varies from person to person. I interviewed a few weeks before you and made corrections in a separate line without using whiteout and my logbook wasn't even mentioned in the interview. So take it with a grain of salt. If you ask me, I'd recommend against whiteout because you can see the corrections made and there is no chance of being accused of doctoring entries.

You need to be able to take information you read on the internet and determine for yourself whether or not its useful or worth getting extremely worked up over. I, for one, and thankful that there is even ANY information about the interview process at all. Imagine if you had to go in there not knowing anything about the process

Haha yeah it will be interesting. I hear its only for ground school though. We'll see.

I get in to Dallas on Sunday at like 1015. I'll be there all day, we should try to get a meet and greet together in the evening.

Hey guys, I got the 2 day email. I have got my driving record. I know of speeding tickets I have received dating back to 2008 or so. I pull up my driving record, it shows an accident when I backed into a car when I first got my drivers license and it shows all the other people who have pulled up my driving record including myself. Am I looking at the wrong one? or are they not on my file? MA resident with a MA license.... I don't want to show up in a few weeks with out the right information...

They are V.P's at AE and you believe they are not yes men, is that correct?
You believe they fight for you?
When was the last time you knew they had done anything positive for the pilot group?

I know they stand up, problem is for what.

Also last time there was a squeeze on pilot hiring, management told H.R. to disregard the captains board recommendations and hire them anyway. Another way to alleviate the problem, put yes men on the captains board.

When it comes time to interview and you have to fill out your hours.

Im currently flying and have logged more hours since my airline apps was reviewed and invited for the interview. Do I put my hours since I sumitted my app in the sheet you have to fill out or the hours from when I did my airline apps, which would be lower than my logg book.
