Feb 28 class breakdown:
Breakdown ended up almost as expected:

5 DFW ATR
2 JFK EMJ
7 ORD CRJ
8 ORD EMJ

First ATRs were picked relatively early and a few of the CRJs went pretty junior.

Anyone see the letter from Eagle COO on Jetnet? Looks like we are going to have a hard time manning flights this summer. I tried to put it on here but can't figure out how to. It's on the eagle pilots page top right under hot topics.

4th of July is typically the hardest day to staff for any airline(worse than christmas, new years, thanksgiving). The summer travel period in general is difficult because of the increased amount of flying most companies do, and the increased amount of vacation/sick time being used by pilots.

This year will be no different than any other year

Agreed but this year we have more planes to fly , more pilots going to AA and lots of guys in training. The part that got my attention is the last sentence of the letter.

“Therefore, the company plans to propose a few alternative offers which Captains RW and JW will detail sortly in a subsequent letter, and I appreciate your sincere consideration of these alternatives.”

Flyby,

Any word when the March 14th class breakdown will come out? I'm in that class and trying to get an idea...hoping for EMB DFW.

Also, my medical is on Thursday. Any particular dress code for that?

I went to mine with slacks and polo. That should be fine.

Im guessing late this week or early next week you should get an email with the projected breakdown for the 3/14 class. Make sure to let us know what it says!

You guys will enjoy working at Eagle. It's far from perfect but I think we have the best schedules and work rules of any regional. I've been here seven years and recently upgraded to EMB Captain in Dallas. I'm sure I'll be flying with lots of you.
