Eagle is a great company to work for. If you get Dallas based, go North of DFW.

Are you working at eagle yet?

What base and equipment if you are working there?

Hopefully I can find a one bedroom for less than 500 a month. Might have to get a little ghetto to do it- guess that's first year pay for ya.

what about searching a one bedroom rental in a house, its another option for a lower monthly rent!

That sounds terrible and sad at the same time. "Hey mom I have to live in a ghetto neighborhood just so I can afford to live on my current pay."

Depends where you're based? DFW area, probably not hard with the million or so apartment complexes in the area. Some do some pretty good 1yr contract sells, that won't make you live in the ghetto. But ORD,JFK,LGA,LAX, maybe living in a box under the overpass.

Why not find another new FO based at DFW who commutes in and let them crash there for $200 a month. One guy might only need 4-6 nights a month. That opens up the amount of apartment you can get.

I have a friend who is currently reserve erj at dfw and he is just paying for a hotel right now. I think he is averaging 4-5 nights a month out of pocket for a hotel room.

Instead of throwing your money away in rent, buy a house.

Glayvin...I understand after living by yourself for awhile, it's hard to think about bringing in a roommate. But I would strongly urge you to hold off on renting yourself a one bedroom until a few months of work on the line. In the meantime, crash with a buddy. I found myself away from home so regularly for the first couple years it would have been insane to literally toss money away on rent for a place I lived in just a few nights a month.
