Now back to learning about FADEC!

Embraer, are they sending everyone home during week 2 for computer based training?

If you get ERJ or CRJ they send you home the 2nd week (1 week only). The 3rd week you're back in DFW.

If you get ATR you stay in DFW all time.

Yep... I'm an ERJ driver ;) and I'm sitting at home right now. Technically next week we could stay home as well. It is what they call a "flex" week, however the general consensus is that you want to go up to the school house to utilize the instructors for any help you may need.

ATR guys have no CBT so they stay during the entire training...and they do part of their checkride in the actual airplane.

And yeah, the FADEC is pure magic!

I just made it through the background process and will be attending class on the 28th, Im 23 and was wondering if anyone knows the chances of getting an embraer in ORD or DFW?

I'm 24 and was wondering what my chances of ORD CRJ would be? I'm in the 28th class.

Pretty low, but not impossible. I was in the 3/14 class and there were only 5 DFW ERJ slots and they were the first to go. I was 11 out of 30 and DFW was gone by the time my turn came around. ORD had quite a few more ERJ and CRJ slots.

I'm not exactly sure, but I think the youngest guy in our class to get a jet was 24..so if your class is anything like mine you will be borderline ATR/ERJ.

I believe that, but like you said can't have the debt up to your eyeballs. Even then it would make me worry trying to cover a monthly mortgage.

Eagle Questions!

Hey everybody, im new to the forumns here. Had a few questions about Eagle and I think im the right spot, if not, a point in the right direction would be great. Anyway, I notice Eagles min are 800/100, well i pretty much have exactly that with about 20 hours of sic citation time. Ive had my airlineapps done for a while even below mins and of coarse got no call but are my chances of actually getting a call just after meeting minimums any good? I currently work at a dropzone just stackin as much time as possible, got my CMEL, CSEL, Instrument, but no CFI. I also read about the "decade upgrade" and all that, is the upgrade time REALLY that long? im 23 so I have some time to work with but Im just curious.

A previous poster had the same ratings as you and he was hired. He was a jumper pilot also and it didn't take to long for him to get on.
