Considering past and present advancement to captain was 10 years and likely future advancement will be even slower once AMR expands another regional to cover more of our current flying.

Any positve mentality in the face of that bleak future is indeed admirable.

I hear ya man. I should have stayed at a regional like you. I mean the downsizing and the 6 figure settlement for my pension/compensation loss. And now ending up with the largest airline in the world with 9B in the bank? The future looks bleak indeed.

Nice hijack while pounding your chest at the same time !

A stud you are. Sadly, in your zeal to do both of the above (do you spend a lot of time in front of the mirror ?), you saw this as about STAYING at a regional vs. being a current Eagle F/O dealing with a lot of misfortune. Two totally different points. Actually, you just saw this as an opportunity for insult. Ah, but a chance to insult a "lifer" regional puke while elevating yourself a little higher was too much to pass up, eh ?

The point was about the plight of current Eagle F/O's not ANOTHER post for you to hijack for self-giddying purposes. If you're a representation of the typical UAL pilot, I feel sorry for the CAL guys. Actually, I'm confident I could buy and sell you over 2-3 times. My other businesses combined bring in twice my regional pay (100K +) and have been for 15 years. I'll match your "six figure settlement" with a 7 figure net worth (and not just barely).

Enjoy the gear handle at your new megacarrier and try not to upset your new captains with obnoxious comments in the sprirt of your post above.

Yea, its amazing what you can accomplish by selling out scope and subsidizing the creation of a "regional airline" with over 700 airframes and 7,000 pilots. Pretty soon Skywest will be flying your 757 for half the pay, and you wont even be able to jerk gear for the 25yr old CA who got the job. At least youll have your 6 figure pension settlement, congrats!

Of course it had everything to do with you...........you've done this before.

No bad "karma" here as I don't swim in your ocean and I can walk out of mine onto a nice sunny beach if I lose my medical. My bet says if you lose yours, you'll sink like a rock down to davy jones locker.

That gear handle OWNS you and you know it, so treat it well or no soup for you !
