HR does some weird stuff sometimes. I recommended my college roommate of 3 years about 6 years ago. He breezed through the interview, but was rejected by the "Captain's Board." He went on to bigger and better things, but this was an honest, smart pilot and a great guy. If you get rejected by Eagle, don't take it personally, sometimes it just doesn't work out the way it should have.

Eagle is adding instructors immediately, and apparently plans for a few more as replacements when/if the FTs who are instructors go to AA. Rumor from a trusted source who should know is that hiring will increase about 50% from 30/mo soon.

Hello,

I’m a current applicant looking for information from any AE guys reading. How long would it take to get based in LAX after being hired? I would happily take any equipment to get back to the west coast.

Thanks in advance.

The bid that just closed had the junior LAX FO award as hired 8/07.

Yup, probably 3 years to hold LAX. There isn't a whole lot of movement in the base. Most FO's towards the top of the LAX list could upgrade but choose not to. I'm in my 7th year and would barely be halfway up the FO list.

This is ridiculous. Someone has been pulling your leg..................

There are only 44 FOs in LA. The 24th from the top just got awarded a captain slot in LGA. He was hired in mid 2001. Four others have also been awarded CA slots so there is a little movement coming but not much. Supposedly the LA base will increase in size by 40% in the near future so it might not take as long as it has previously to hold LA.
