They're behind cause of the icey wintery fun they had last week down there. Got an email yesterday telling me that they were behind in getting travel arrangements done for next weeks interviews also.

I know exactly how you feel. I was there 8 months ago. The only way they could move fast enough for most is if they were in class the day after the interview but that doesn't happen.

I know you're wringing your hands hoping for the best. One of the things I think is hard to take is when someone is rejected and they will not tell you why. I know that is a concern. The weather has been a problem here in the DFW area and for that matter over most of the country. Things will be slower than normal for a while. The slow down due to the weather reminds me a lot of the slow down over the Christmas holidays.

Telling you to be patient doesn't help you be paitent. Good luck!!!!

They are also behind on getting folks finished in training. The longest wait is after the simulator to IOE right now. The weather last week caused a lot of cancellations, and havoc of the schedules. They are having troubles deadheading folks around because of it. I've been waiting over a week to get IOE scheduled, with the slight possibility of getting some at the end of the week they said, maybe?

Anybody could provide up-to-date info on how long can a new hire expect to sit on reserve in MIA? How about DFW?

The absolute earliest you would hear anything would be this Friday. It takes at LEAST a week or so to get the necessary paperwork from the FAA. It also depends on if your previous employers sent their faxes back yet. I know its hard but try to be patient. I interviewed about a week before you and got a call last Friday. Good luck!

On the jet there are guys in DFW who hit the line in mid June and are just now able to hold composite lines. I'm not sure how the pace of hiring has changed since then but I'd be safe and say 8 months tops in DFW if things don't change. The MIA jet base is still small, it's growing slowly but it's movement is also more difficult to predict. I don't have access to the Executive side to see how either base looks on the ATR. I'd say bid whichever is more convenient for you and see how it plays out. If you don't like what you end up with you can always transfer bases.

On another note, I have a friend who got the call for an interview a week ago but hasn't heard back since, any insight from those who have recently gone through the process on how long they're taking to arrange interviews after the initial call?

Well, I got an email saying my app would be reviewed in two days, then an email inviting me to call to set up an interview a week later. I called and set up the interview for a few weeks out, and this was the only phone call I made during the process. I'm not sure what call your friend received, but he may want to call and check up with them. All correspondence I received from Eagle was through email, except for the call to inform me that I passed the review board.
