To the post that called me arrogant, I had UAL pass benefits the first 25 years of my life, and I used them A TON, NON reving is not new to me, it does not matter how long I have been at my current job, I have all right to talk about non rev bennies, and I really like them better at AMR.

Seriously some people just dont get it, and im not referring to you. Many in this industry have been non reving for quite sometime even if its not your own bennies.

I just dont get why someone slammed me for making an observation about non reving, because I have been at my job for 7 months? I compared it to the my many years of non reving on UA. I hated at UA when my family got bumped by some 25+ year person who decided to list as he was parking at the airport with his family of 7. You try and plan based on who is listed when you leave your house and where you sit and how many open seats, but when a few other people show up last second who are super senior it sucks, esp when it happens a ton.

I totally agree with you. :)

I've spent more in non rev charges at Eagle in a few months then I spent in 3 years with Delta bennies. Round trip to Spain in Business class with the Delta bennies was $20 while it cost close to $200 on AA. AA bennies aren't non rev just low rev.

And it is crazy that I have to pay to ride on Eagle when I can go on others for free

lakehouse 09-08-2011 05:45 AM

ya they can be steep, esp international. But I go from NY to MIA and back with my GF, first class, 80 bucks for the both us. I doubt AMR is making any revenue on that.

ccjaxpilot 09-08-2011 05:53 AM

That's $80 they wouldn't have if nobody was occupying those seats. That is revenue to me. Again on Delta that would be free.

Ya, IDK, it works about to about the same price as using a BP8A on UAL for F class. I eat and drink so that cost them some money both ways.
