Can someone please explain to me what a zed fare is and how it works? Trying to do some international travel on another OneWorld partner, specifically BA. Thanks.

Have you been here long enough to have vacation?

hey guys. I had posted this question some time back but wanted to see if I could get a better response from the people out here.. feel its an important question.

for those who have recently got on without the RJ course, is the 800TT and 100 Multi the only requirement in terms of hours for getting interviewed? or is the 250 PIC mentioned on their website also a Minimum requirement?

did all of you have the 250 PIC before you were able to interview? thanks so much.

I had more than 250 pic. How can you have 800 hours and not have the pic? Pretty much everything after private is pic. Only initial multi, complex, tailwheel, etc wouldn't be pic. How did you get your time? Just trying to help you in case something wasn't logged in right.

well yes, all your time after private is PIC if you are actually flying as PIC or instructing, etc. but if you have been flying SIC for an airline, then you cant be logging PIC time. am I correct? that's why I am a bit short of 250.

and thanks "what", but I went through the website, hence the question. it says "preferred" after 250 PIC. so that's what my question is, is that a hard number in terms of a minimum requirement? or has anyone gotten on with Eagle with less than 250PIC? thanks again guys.

Alrighty then,

Look up the following definitions that the airlines use to post their requirements;

Minimum
Competitive
Preferred

No you don't need 250 hr PIC to hired, but you will need it to upgrade (let's not discus this right now). They would "Prefer" if you had 250 hr PIC. Just apply, the longer it takes you to apply the more people you will have above you and in this industry seniority is the main controlling factor in your future and QOL.

When I talked to Nick at Eagle he said anything after intial private and multi training. He told me to have the 250 to get an interview but I am at 530 right now.
