Heard that ship 498 a DFW ATR is getting stripped tonight including having the Eagle titles removed from her. I guess this means there will be a gradual draw down of the ATR's through the month leading up to the end.

AMR plans to pay $10.2M to keep 19 regional jets

What's to be made of this? It looks to me like AMR is planning on keeping only 19 of the CRJ-700's. I really hope I'm missing something here because if that's the case ya'll are in for a much rougher ride.

AMR plans to pay $10.2M to
keep 19 regional jets
Fort Worth-based AMR Corp. will pay
$10.2 million to keep 19 regional jets that
it uses for American Eagle flights, the
Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported, citing
a bankruptcy filing made Tuesday evening.
AMR said it expects to pay $550,000 each
for the Bombardier CRJ-700s on which it
owes money, the Star-Telegram reported.
The company also listed 28 CRJ-700s in the
filing on which AMR says it does not need
to make payments on.
The 47 planes are the youngest aircraft in
American Eagle's fleet with half of the
airplanes made between 2001 and 2004
and the others manufactured in the past
two years, the Star-Telegram reported.

has all ready been discussed in another forum, if you look at the actual filling it clearly shows AMR will keep all the CRJ's.

Ok, so the 28 are already paid off and the 19 are the only one's that money is owed on?

I don't think I have seen this on here yet, but I just heard on the Dallas news that AMR is going to be delisted from the NYSE tomorrow....

Means nothing. Just a formality in bankruptcy. The share holders loose all equity. Which is why you saw large retirements last fall.

30 CA vacancies. 96 CA displacements. Should mean senior FO's will move down a minimum of 66 positions company wide.

It doesnt seem to account for guys in training. Will they furlough them? I hope not. Just trying to figure out how they can do a SHUFFLE if we park DFW ATRs and move people to other bases. You would need more planes? Where they getting more planes?
