No kidding! I knew those press releases sounded too perfectly prepared.

And how Arpey had a new job the same morning we filed CH11...

if they had a good idea 6 months out, makes you wonder why they didnt stop the hiring at Eagle, and still have not really cracked down on any sort of furloughing....

We're still short staffed right now in ORD. Seems like things are going to change though. Least I have a knot in my stomach right now that I will experience the fuuuuu word... Hanging on tight here. I really don't want the doom and gloom. I just feel it coming.

We are short staffed, because the have people sitting waiting 3 to 5 hrs for their next flight. Schedules sucks big time... I rather be flying than waiting. Also that will get the pilot earlier to his/her home.

It will be all displacements from now on Im afraid.

If you'd rather the $$ than the time off later consider taking some vacation while you guys are still Captains. What's happening with the DFW ATR people?

if your a captain on the line now you might not get displaced on this bid. There is a net displacement of about 66 captains, and i think there are more than that, that were awarded captain but have not attended training yet.

You hit the nail on the head and broke the head off. Talk about productivity problems.... I don't like flying a 14hr day where 6-8 of it is spent sitting in ORD... Sounds like poor planning and use of manpower.... Not saying I want the job, but there has to be a more efficient way to plan for us.

I love the long sits in Chicago for the sole reason of the Hilton Athletic Club. Been going there for five years now. If one has a three hour or longer sit, it's perfect for a one hour workout, shower, walk to and from, and get back to the gate one hour prior.

Longer sits, longer workouts.....
