The decision to start parking airplanes is pure arrogance by AMR, not customer service. If the customer experience was paramount, there would have been newer aircraft phased in before now through Eagle. This is management so sure of scope relief coming that they are proceeding with their slash-and-burn agenda.
I predict a day of reckoning for them though- someone is going to have to explain to the judge/SEC, etc why they have $8bil in cash, not the 4.1 they claimed going into Ch11. Also it's going to be interesting how they justify ****ing away all the APA concessions on non-producing equipment like flat sceen tvs at all the gates, and granite countertops, etc. I hope they get what they deserve (but they probably won't).

You obviously have never been through this process, and never paid attention to what was going on to the other carriers while they were going through this. They'll have to do no explaining of the above, they'll get whatever scope relief they want. 2 1/2 times for me. Don't get your hopes up that alpa will do anything. The only thing they do is delay the company making changes. Management wins every time.

You obviously are alot smarter than I am, but I think you are somewhat missing the point of my post. I am glad for you though because you have so much experience with bankruptcy, and that makes it easier for you to be apathetic.

Should we try tontake a page from Delta and park all the turbo props and not replace them?

I'm curious from a passengers standpoint what their feeling maybe? Besides of course a cheap ticket and 1st class ammenities.

Things that make me say hmmm

The Q boards from the front and has a large cabin with full size overheads unlike most turboprops. The 9L Q's are also in the process of installing a first class in the entire fleet. From a passenger standpoint, I think that they are quieter than most jets and you really can't tell they are turboprops unless you look out the window. The big problem is mx, they are hangar queens and a lot of flights get cancelled because of it. Its a good airplane when it works.

Ah yes. Im all excited about this this! Not being apathetic, just telling you reality, which you seem to think is not the case. If you are wondering if the Mec will put in a good fight, just look at the Ta they were trying to push on us. Not trying to have a smarter then u argument, again just stating you're dreaming if you think AMR will have a tough time getting what they want. Now go have fun making up rumors and acting like a lawyer.

That is a FAA thing, not a company thing. The FAA doesn't allow it on the ATR till at the gate. Not FA's doing.
