Longer sits, longer workouts.....

I like that idea... I need an excuse to get my lazy rear in the gym... I'll look into that. How much is it??

You hit the nail on the head and broke the head off. Talk about productivity problems.... I don't like flying a 14hr day where 6-8 of it is spent sitting in ORD... Sounds like poor planning and use of manpower.... Not saying I want the job, but there has to be a more efficient way to plan for us.

That hasn't changed in over 20 years. Always schedules with big holes in them or a 3 hour sit on day 3 of a 3 day trip for a MKE turn out of ORD. Same ****, different generation.

Why does this not surprise me in the least???

Does anyone know for sure if ATR seat locks are the full 12 months? I've heard they expire 2 weeks before your hire date

I jump-seated home with an ERJ ORD FO last night and he indicated that hiring should start up again based on the "700 pilots per year projection" with the 500/25. Anyone else heard this rumor or think it will occur?

Yeah, at other carriers picking up Eagle's flying. People who talk like that are drowning themselves in the kool-aid. Eagle's going to have to take pay cuts, which you shouldn't, to keep or gain any flying. Right now with the cost structure Eagle can't compete, which means more layoffs to come. It's always good to keep high hopes but the airline industry likes to crush them.

I think the 2 weeks you're referring to is the ability to bid for any vacancy as long as it's within 2 weeks of your seat lock. I'll see if I can find the exact wording in the contract.

Either way you're about to be displaced out of Miami ATR so stop worrying about it.

The captain should have requested an immediate drug test for him. He was obviously hallucinating wildly.

eaglefly, im glad you went to American, your grasp on reality is better fit there, you should get involved more with the APA too. If you were still at Eagle and on the MEC, you surly would have sealed us a comair fate.
