My main worry is that I don't have much work experience, a CFI job for one year and stop counting. I wonder how that's going to look with background checks and stuff.

Oh well, we shall hope and see.

Thanks guys.
Most new folk I've flown with have been CFI'ing for a year or so. The others were furloughed from other carriers.

not really, it just means it finally made it past the filter.

That's ok.. I'm CFI too, one year of banner towing, just with a two years of 135 VFR experience, no turbine time. I was the only one in my day of interview with a little more than CFIing. So not big deal...

If you meet the mins, turn your stuff in. We need tons of guys really soon. My guess is that they won't be able to find enough qualified applicants in the near future.

Well I have a problem with that. The FCC does not need to have 60 more dollars so that I can talk in another country.

Don't need attitudes like that at Eagle. Good luck somewhere else.

Trust me I am one of the most optomistic ones about the airlines, and just like pagey said, just venting. I guess that did come out like I won't do some things do get a jet job. Honestly, if they said you gotta buy a clown suit and work in the circus on the side...I would have a red nose.

So I have a question about commuting. How feasible would it be to commute from SLC to DFW if I was sitting reserve? Do many pilots at eagle commute that route? Also, I know this is hard to tell but does anyone know how long a new hire in DFW would sit reserve with all this growth? I am hoping for 6 months? lol
