Sorry to hear about the furloughs, guys. Expressjet is still hiring - mins seem to be around 1000/100. Just curious, for those who were hired at AE and had to sign that contract because they were under x amount of hours - does that contract get voided if furloughed?

yes it does

If they don't resign they need to be recalled immediately. They do not have this pilot group's interest in mind. They want to be managers at AA. They also like to throw people who disagree with them under the bus.

When is the next election

That had been a question from a lot of people to the training manager while we were still in TX. Naturally there was no answer. While I am not one of those under contract, I really hope they aren't help to $5K...especially since they were taxed on the money.

(...I was in the class right before the first 20 furloughs...sigh)

Furloughing 50 junior pilots. Effective April 5th.

This is just the beginning of changes and down sizing at Eagle. Sad---but true.

Yup, They will trickle out the furloughs (Here, and at American) for maximum negotiation leverage.

All union leadership needs to be fired, and that letter only makes me sick to my stomach. God help us all.

Sorry to hear what's happening over there guys. It truly sucks.

Has management done anything to offer voluntary leave of absences to help mitigate some of these furloughs?

I have a couple of old students over there who are pretty junior....what DOH do the furloughs go to?

No LOAs, LTLOA, part-time line or zero time lines have been offered by the company.

Looks to me like it will go to a 11/7/11 DOH except for the top 3 in that class...
