Heyo,

So yesterday was my last day of 4 and I was unsure I would be able to commute home. I sent a RF100 for open time that started this afternoon figuring if I was stuck in ORD at least I'd get paid. Within 30 minutes of putting in the request I realized I needed to be home tomorrow so I sent them another message asking them to ignore my previous request. (I know I should have called) Well last night I checked SABRE and there was nothing assigned to me, no yay or nay from swaps and drops. Shortly there after I had a shot at the jump seat and went home. Late last night I checked and still didn't have anything in my schedule.

This morning at 0733 crew scheduling called to say that they are having me do the OT trip today. The N3D showed my notification as 0733.

I called them and told them I couldn't get there if I tried and that I had sent a message asking them to ignore my request and I should've been notified much earlier.

They transferred me a few times and a very ****ed off individual in SWAPS and DROPS said okay fine you're off of it.

About 30 minutes later they called back but did NOT leave a message.

I'm not calling back. It shows the sequence in Open Time and my HI10 does not show a MA.

I know my technique was poor but shouldn't they at least notify a little earlier than the morning of?

They pull crap like that on the Executive side all the time. Alot of times if I put in the request for OT it doesn't show up until the next morning. Of course as you know calling them is always best. I've learned lately that misinterpreting the contract is their specialty

Ah but see I never went that far ! haha. I listened to the voice mail then called and was like huhhhh?

So far I haven't gotten a MA.

This is probably the 3rd time I've said to CS..."Looks like you'll have to give me a MA"...and I've been alright.

I'm sure I'll get an HI6 or something of that nature by friday.

Hey everyone,

I hope this is the right place for this post...I have an interview scheduled for next Monday Jan. 3rd but due to the holidays I am having trouble obtaining some of the required paperwork!!! The admissions and records office as well as some of the HR Dept's of previous emlpoyers have been closed for the holidays.

When I scheduled my interview it was only 2 weeks and 2 days away and was very quickly within the 2 week notification window. I have been trying to contact V.A. in recruiting since last week but no reply (also probably out for the holidays), hopefully I will get a response to an email sent this morning but just in case, can anyone give me some contact info for anyone else in recruiting or HR?

I don't want to have the interview go south in the first few minutes for bad timing and need to know if the interview can/needs to be reschedule ASAP or if given the circumstances I'll be able to keep the interview and submit the paperwork afterwards.

Posted this on eaglelounge an hour or so ago but have yet to get a response.

can you guys post some sample typical lines for the CRJ, as opposed to EMB or even ATR. I am most curious of NY, but I figure once you leave on a trip the lines quickly become very similar overall regardless.

I have been given the January 17th class date and I had a question about bases.

I live in Florida and was considering putting for Miami on the ATR my QOL would be better in Miami especially if I'm on reserve.

However, holding a line always comes with a better QOL. Do you think NY would have a shorter reserve period then Miami?

Remember, not only you can get ATR MIA, but also EMJ MIA. My guess is that you can hold a line faster on ATR than jet. If you can choose from either, I would go to ATR MIA. Why? Because 1. Its the same pay for the first yr. 2.You can hold a line faster. 3. After your seat lock expires, you can always transfer to the jet.(but you cant transfer from jet to prop) 4. ATR is a blast to fly.
