Yep. He was "hired" by mx PRE-furlough. I know him and he couldn't be a nicer guy. I just don't understand why he is on the furlough list when he wasn't a line pilot. How was he technically furloughed in the first place? I'm not trying to put his character into question, I just don't understand the process and I also wonder if it may impede another pilots recall.

I thought SK was republic or chitaqua or something. There has been a lot of talk at Eagle about us not actually getting 22 CR7s that we were promised this summer. Maybe they are going to ASA, it would be ops as usual at Eagle, constant let downs.

They are working on and maybe about to acquire a few more frames. Guesses are from Mesa or Pinnacle. Just a guess on the Pinnacle, but Big D may be about to lean on them to squeeze them in negotiations, just like they did to ASA and we lost a bunch of 70's and all the 90's that were coming to kick us during negotiations. The cryptic line in SH's email said something about we may absorb some flying within the DCI system due to a status change at another carrier. It is important that we show Atlantic Southeast can handle opportunistic flying. So, my guess is that when they find out just how much flying, they will pull the trigger. I have heard the instructors say they have been gearing up to have most - if not all - furloughs back this fall.

Seriously! Just imagine if say, 50 Captains go to Delta and another 10 go elsewhere. (Airtran, Jetblue). Now add the 20 Capts leaving for Nam, and there could potentially be 80 Captains leaving by fall. That alone will get everyone back where they were.

Hey Truman, it's nice to see the optimist in you finally coming out. Most of your previous posts had been somewhat grim.
