Actually no. Many of us have been against flow through agreements and as you are aware, Delta had preferential hiring, not flow through entitlements. The fact we now have a flow through is the happy accident some will benefit from as a result of the NWA merger. Delta management would not have agreed to this absent the fact that it came under contract from NWA and they wanted the NWA merger.
Flow through agreements fail to prevent outsourcing. Flows fail to protect your longevity despite the fact you are really just transferring from one division to another. Rampers have a better deal than pilots do within Delta. IMHO the first day you operate a Delta jet with Delta passengers on board, you should have a Delta seniority number.
Flows were used to provide political cover for NWA's outsourcing. It is a form of job protection that really isn't.
I'm pleased if some of you get to come to work for a company you really want to enjoy working for and make it better. I'd be more pleased if you were Delta pilots from day one instead of having to be off property for a decade.

How is calling someone out on a public forum professional? This could and should have been handled through ProStans if it was that big an issue.
I am also wondering why the flow is not looked at favorably. All the pilots that I have flown with that are close to the flow / have flowed are class acts. Since we are regional pilots are we automatically not professional?

As for bad behavior from some XJ pilots, I don't know if that is true or not because I certainly have not seen anyone from XJ acting unprofessionally on hotel vans or otherwise but I have witnessed bad behavior by DAL pilots and I do not automatically jump to the conclusion all DAL pilots are bad apples. Yes we do have some pilots with spiked up hair carrying ipods and most of them are about to be furloughed since they are junior. They are certainly not about to flowup to DAL. You need to describe what was it about their behavior that offended your sensibilities. Were they rude to you, did they failed to check in with the CA while jumpseating or did they bad mouth DAL pilots? What were they doing that you thought was "shocking" to your delicate sensibilities, might I ask?

I'll go out on a limb here and say that Delta pilots are far, far, far, far, far, far, far ruder to regional pilots and far more arrogant than any regional pilot is. That maybe a gross generalization, but is true...........

Wow. I never heard about that. I am surprised someone acted that way. Actually, if that really happened that person would be fired at Mesaba. I would be surprised if he is still on the property if he did what he did.
I agree with most of what you wrote regarding the situation we are all in. I agree 100% that flowthru is not a good deal for most pilots when you think about it. It would not work for most of us anyway. It would only work for those at the top #126 to 166 or so in 2010. Good thing is it is official from our Union that we can apply individually outside the flowthru and go thru the interview process and get hired that way.
