I think Comair will not be sold as an airline....they will simply be broken up. Most likely the CRJ700-900's will be sold, and the rest will be left for nothing.
Delta already said they had too big of a price tag. Nobody want's to buy them.

I just heard from a friend in the Delta GO that SkyWest Inc decided about 3 months ago that they were not buying Mesaba or Compass. So apparently all their whoop te do with the new vision and all that wasn't predicated on this deal. Maybe they still have a plan.

On another thread someone is claiming Skywest bid for XJ and Delta turned them down and sold them to 9E for the same bid Skywest put out. Any idea how much truth there is to that? Maybe Delta doesn't want Skywest to control that much of the DCI flying?

Skywest, Inc. would have been far and away the largest DCI carrier if it had acquired Mesaba. After the sale is finalized Pinnacle/Mesaba will be slightly smaller than SkyWest/ASA in terms of the number of daily departures.

9E's management team is about as bad as it can be, sans JO from Mesa.

BH said in a meeting 3 weeks ago that Mesaba was too expensive and it was a dead deal.
After all the hype last week I hoped he was saying it to throw us all off. Looks like he was telling the truth......again!
