I heard earlier today that there is a certain key phrase in the fragmentation policy at XJ that simply states that they shall be "offered employment" at the place(s) buying XJ in the event of fragmentation. Is this true? That may be a critical loophole....

Well it looks like we will try again after thanksgiving. Yeah......cant have any of them working over the holidays. With scope, benefits, and work rules out of the way we "may" actually be on to something. Not getting excited but if the mesaba, pinnacle, and colgan negotiators agreed to scope, benefits and work rules then we should be seeing a contract we can actually feel good voting for.

God I hope not...that "phrase" could be ugly...anyone have any word?
This is second hand info off of the former 9E MEC chairman, who is a piece of work himself. Don't know if it can be trusted or not, just wondering if any of you XJ types have your contract handy and can confirm or deny this. |

Its been 9587 days...stay unified blah blah blah If we can't get this done lets do some informal picketing. I'm sure it'll be cancelled because the company has been negotiating in good faith. They did lower the alcohol times from 12hrs to 10... we will still have guys blocking out early, waiting to write up mx issues until they are in a domicile, talking a big game and then tucking their tails between their legs...what a joke |
Negotiations Update--November 15 , 2010 Fellow Pilots, Your Joint Negotiating Committee continued to meet with management throughout the day on Monday, the last day of scheduled negotiations. While we were unable to reach a comprehensive agreement, both parties are encouraged that substantial progress was made and have mutually agreed to extend the deadline and return to the negotiating table. Negotiations over the past few days were productive, including on important issues such as scope, work rules, and benefits. Had more time been available, it’s possible that an agreement could have been reached. Based on the parties’ desire to continue work and complete an agreement, negotiations have been scheduled to resume on November 30—right after the Thanksgiving holiday. We continue to believe firmly that a joint CBA is in the best interests of our pilots and our company, and we will continue to work hard to complete this process. “One Contract | One List | One Voice” |

Good progress has been made in an extremely aggressive time line. I'm confident it can get done when we meet again in ATL. |

Seriously keep up the good work...this contract will be the best option for all that are involved...PNCL and all pilot groups. Thanks for all the hard work...I'm sure these negotiations have keep many away from their families more nights than deserved. Side note: I do think that this has gone far enough...but at the same time I am considerate of the men and women in the trenches fighting for us...while most of us sit on these forums crying and not doing anything such as volunteering for the union...for those wondering...I am a P2P...so I try to do what I can...get involved if you don't like what you are getting...but our reps are working hard. |
Oh they're going to start negotiating on the 30th, and they'll probably say they can have it done before Christmas. Take heart guys, we'll have it soon, we deserve it, blah blah blah!!
Our unity is our strength, blah blah blah... One contract, one list (a terrible one), one voice (mine is getting hoarse), blah blah blah!! Pinnacle Corp. doesn't have a good enough reason to give us a decent TA...oh but we finally have some leverage on the company, we can do this, blah blah blah....well they always have a PLAN B for everything:eek: Ever noticed that???? Going to bed now...rant over:D |
Good night boys! -And Happy Thanksgiving!!
PS - DONT FORGET TO BLOCK OUT EARLY TOMORROW! I have all the confidence you all will wait for a hub to write up those discrepancies, drop the brake on time and make Phil some money!!! |
