Pi**ed in his cherios? Another let down in a long long string for the Pinnacle guys. Finally one is speaking out and has had enough. One down, 1,100 more to go. I feel for you all, and the rest of the Colgan/Mesaba group, I really do. But when is enough enough? After over five years, can we agree what you've been doing ISN'T WORKING. Trust that I am placing no blame here. But there are alternative ways to express yourself, make your point heard and get some sh*t done. I'm starting believe the whining has become common place, and solutions and a backbone are not.

To the XJ guys--welcome to the bright new world of Pinnacle Management...hope you stock up on KY with any remaining balance in your FSA accounts for plan year 2010...

To the 9E guys (and everyone else)--you know darned well we're not going to have any sort of performance-based meltdown that brings the company to its knees. Everything out of JFK/LGA/RDU is overblocked as heck due to no established trip values (and once those trip values are established, they will likely be inflated due to people trying to fly full block so the trip values are calculated higher)...the combined airline is now--similar to AIG and BoA "too big to fail."

ASA was the dominant regional operating out of ATL when they mounted their slowdown...we are scattered across JFK, DTW, MSP, MEM, TYS, RDU, and CVG, with less than 50% of the flying in any hub (more like 30-35%)....nothing we do (even if we had the unity to do it) would significantly affect Delta's operation...

We are an extremely short-staffed operation--hence ontime numbers are not the way to go about anything at 9E, "unplanned absences" lead to cancellations here, not maintenance write-ups and flying slow...just remember that in coming weeks...

Oh, and btw, if we don't picket JFK over Thanksgiving, we don't have any cahones....

Didn't a threat of an informational picketing event start all of this?

Not sure, but our chairman/union cancelled the last informal picketing event because the company showed "signs" of good faith (or some sort of BS). Not to mention, it was the first informal picketing event in a while. The company says jump and our union says how high....
I think our chairman needs to get re-quailified and fly the line over the holidays. I don't support voting him out but I firmly support him getting qualified and having to work like the rest of us. How about it E?

Because they want us to think that something will get done after NOV30.. ie after Thanksgiving, so that in the very unlikely event 9E pilots actually get some **** that it wont happen until after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Nothing will happen after NOV30... A problem around Thanksgiving will cause 9E a lot of pain. If something is gonna be done the time is now.

Not getting this TA is REALLY bad for all of us... 9E, 9L, XJ. This could go on for years.

PinnacleFO 11-16-2010 01:26 PM

They just offered 200 % for all open time pickups from the 20th to the day before they negotiate again the 29th. If you are thinking about picking anything up please re think it. Your short term gain is not worth the long term pain everyone else will have. Let the reserves that this company PLANNED to have cover this flying. I fear no one will listen but now is the time. We need more pilots and we need a new contract

So the plan is to wrap the negotiations up in 3 days huh? Nov 30 to Dec 2 by 17:00.

PinnacleFO 11-16-2010 01:33 PM

There are 5 days this week

So they can't spare 3 days from now and Thanksgiving to finish up? Thousands of lives are being affected!
