I've gotten on a few Saabs after tire changes where the mechanics have turned that little hydraulic pump switch off. It must not be in their job guide to turn it back on. As long as you actually look at switch positions when you do the checklist, all is fine.

the sad part is they will probably make the pilots start repoing aircraft again because the mx folks will be too scared. They should also be moving the aircraft at a reasonable speed and with both engines running. Reverse power on both engines would have stopped that aircraft.

I'm sorry but its hard for me not to smile and laugh at this event. Colgan is already short on working planes and it looks like they might have just totaled one out all because the company didn't want to spend a $65 and have a crew repo a plane. This company suspended its own pilots this past winter for refusing to work for free and repo planes without being paid. Talk about stepping over a dollar to pick up I nice shiny penny. Karma is a bit**

They (SOC) were extending crews on their last day to do repos to the hangar, causing these guys to miss their commute home....all for 10 minutes of pay.
Management refused to pay more so we told them to let the mechanics to them. They agreed. End of problem.
Are you now saying that you want to do them again?

YOUR local union leadership fought tooth and nail to remove repo repsonsibility from crews.
