This is a great time to picket.

The airlines make a sizable profit during the holidays. This is the last thing they need. This will put alot of embarrassment on Phil Trenary to get the deal done.

I hope there are 300-500 pinnacle, colgan and mesaba pilots that show up.
Total BS. Stop drinking the Kool Aid ALPA National is serving. They don't care about you, they care about protecting mainline (Delta). Management laughs at picketing, and the passengers either don't care or think you're a bunch of greedy fools. They won't stop buying DELTA tickets, they'll just avoid Pinnacle flights. All they care about is that the flight is on time and the tickets are cheap. They'd be fine if you got a pay cut, because more cheap tickets!

Make it cost more to jack with you than to just give you what you want. If you guys won't do this then I have zero sympathy for you.
THIS is how you win a contract. At ASA, 5 years of picketing did nothing. Two weeks of civil disobedience got a TA. Quit being weak and get on it. Otherwise, you get no sympathy from us.

If they are already at the airport they have already bought a ticket. Then they go home and in 6 months when they take their next trip, it will be based on price and time. Our pay has ZERO to do with wether or not someone buys a ticket on Delta or United.
HAVOC is the answer. Safety first. Fatiqued at outstations etc... All legal.

I've said this before on here and to you guys when I see you. FLY SAFE! Make sure every airplane is the safest it could possibly be. Tell your peers to do the same. If you need a list of things that can easily be written up on a CRJ do a search. There are TONS!
When ASA had the safest airplanes around it took 2 weeks and we had a TA.

So I'm guessing you 2 aren't going to support us in our picket, even though we had guys that walked with you. You'd rather just talk macho. Typical.

There are some captains who still single engine taxi and yell at me when I fire up the APU 30 mins prior, with no heat on the plane, and 250lbs overfueled. I hope they are picketing...

The problem I see with most regional picketing is you guys convey a message that the public doesn't care about or understand. I always see pictures of signs of pilots looking tough carrying some sign about ALPA lingo about some regional airline namr. You need to portray a message that matters to people.

"I fly Delta passengers and made $22000 last year."

"I got 5 hours of sleep in an Econolodge last night."

"I've been on duty for 15 hours when I'm taking your family into that snowstorm landing."

That's the stuff that gets attention, gets people to notice, and embarrasses those in charge.

SAFETY has always been our primary concern, nothing has changed there, having said that, I feel we should all increase our awareness when it comes to safety out on the line for the holidays. December 10th seems like a great day, along with 9E picketing, to focus more than ever on safety. What better time than the holidays? I advise you all to go back through these posts and read the thoughts of those at Asa or wherever it may be, that have gone through similar situations and understand what is productive and what isn't. Sure, it takes sacrifice on your part, but it is so small compared to the greater good of us all. You have to be strong, and realize this has to be done together. SAFETY First!

It was alluded to at one point but not brought out. A big metric on how far we can go will be based on the actual participation for events.

A bigger factor will be how much we impact management's pocket book. I trust the MECs have more up their sleeve than picketing, and I will be standing by to participate in whatever comes up. Everyone is fired up, let's take swift and meaningful action.
