Is there any truth the rumor that Scott E tried to go to the company and get a bad contract just to able to stable xj and 9L if so naughty naughty

No. There isn't even a twist, it never happened. It would never have even worked IF he had since all contracts must be approved by the MEC and the pilot group. That "rumor" is so off it doesn't even have the first grain of truth to be labeled a rumor.

Plus- there is legal precedence and ALPA Bylaws that don't allow it either.

All this bickering amongst ourselves even in the realm of internet forums is ludicrous. NO one at the operator-level (Pilot, Flight Attendant, Mechanic, CSR, etc...) has any real control over market forces, management, strategic business plans, etc...We JUST work here on a particular operating certificate and the reason for that might be as simple as Colgan, Mesaba or Pinnacle called first. I for one don't forsee any near-term or protracted issues by blended crews flying together. If so, then the consequences of that are going to be of our making with no one to blame but ourselves.

Really?!? Are you serious? There is no truth to this rumor. You can bet that if the company had a cheap way out of this, they would have taken it.

Does anyone know if May 15 will be the absolute final date for it to be out?

I've heard "on or around May 15." "On" is obviously May 15, but "around" sounds like it could be sooner or later than that date. If it's not out by May 15, will Bloch provide an update as to how much longer he needs?

There is absolutely NO penalty if it is NOT out on the 15th...
