I used the Telex 850 for a while. Light weight and comfy, but I still needed earplugs above 10,000 feet. Now I have Lightspeed Mach1 with custom ear molds. *******ing awesome! Not worth it unless you get the custom ear molds. They are a bit pricey, but still cheaper than Bose.

I wish I can use my zulus (they are just one year old), but I need TSOd ones since I'm going to fly with Eagle.

I'm looking the "Sennheiser HMEC 26" Stereo ANR, someone have those??? Are they are good in the EMB???? The look comfortable and lightweight.

I started with the bose aviation X, which were really good. However, they're still an over-the-ear headset which I personally don't like. I've always hated the clamping feeling that they give you, whether they're bose, DC's, whatever...Soooo I sold them on ebay for $500 (bought them used from a friend from $500, so no loss there) and bought used Telex 750's on ebay (as far as I could tell they were brand new) for $70 and wear ear plugs and am very happy. There is no discomfort and you get used to wearing ear plugs so it's not a big deal at all. The one downfall is that I feel like comms can be a little muffled, but not to the point where you can't understand. Overall, if you hate the clamping feeling, go with 750's (or if you have money, clarity alofts) but if you don't care about that then go with an expensive over-the-ear headset.

Sounds like a flying trash can. Good thing I never fly AA so I won't have to cope with those POSs.

I use the telex 750s + earplugs. $80 on ebay. The wind noise is annoying, keep the hot mic off. I'll buy something else eventually. I've had the bose x in the 145, they are nice but overkill (in my opinion) and I sold them.

I'd really be happy with a pair of every day non-ANR DC's that didn't crush my skull. But no one seems to make those.
