That would have worked for me but hosed our very senior guys. Also......This was suggested by XJ and would have screwed some junior XJ dudes.

I agree with you to some extent.... I would be lying if I said I was most pleased with what the Colgan committee presented however I do think that straight date of hire would be reasonably fair as well. But to think that a 20 year CJC pilot should be behind the entire 9E pilot group is absurd.

not the same at all. I would understand a proposal by doh even though I don't agree. what pncl proposed is just mean spirited.

what colors are those? That they are doing whatever it takes to make sure the pinnacle pilots get the best deal they can? I am glad they did. This is not a feel good lets all hold hands deal. I think what the CJC guys proposed is even worse. They are trying to be sneaky and coming in under the guise of "we are trying to do something that is good for all the pilots". LOL no they aren't. They know they are the most junior pilot group in the three companies and have a big uphill battle to convince anyone that their method is "fair". The CJC method is anything but fair. It is a tricky way to try and get junior pilots to the top of the list. I don't blame them for trying because its their job. But don't act like the pncl guys are the only ones trying to look out for number 1.

So lets see. A 3 year colgan guy gets to the same seniority as a 6 year pncl guy. That colgan guy now comes over to the crj and now possibly bids ahead of the guy who has been here for 6 years. Yeah that is reasonable and fair for "everyone." That my friend is mean spirited. CJC is far from innocent in their tactics. You guys have just been duped into thinking they want whats best for the group by your merger committee acting like they are the red headed step child that everyone is out to get.

I think the super senior at pncl and xj will be at the top of the list with a mix of relative and longevity determining seniority for the rest of the groups.

I think over all that would be the most fairest.

Screwed?

You treat it as if everyone interviewed at the same company.

You get seniority for the time you've been there.

Sounds fair to me.

I am all about DOH. It is the only cold, hard, but fair way of doing it. If a guy has been at colgan longer than me then he should be more senior. If a guy has been at mesaba longer than me then they should be ahead of me also.

It is absurd. Absurdities are produced in SLI negotiations. The NW proposal had me losing 7% of relative seniority. The DL proposal had me gaining about 4-5% of relative seniority.

It's going to go someplace reasonable- and the colgan proposal is actually probably pretty close to how it's going to shake out.

Nah, CJC's proposal is slanted toward CJC, yes, but doesn't seek to blatantly bend PNCL pilots over. PNCL's proposal would put our 15-20 year guys below the 50% line. this is not even close to ever happening but just shows the sentiment over there.
