You can't submit a June 1 list before June 1, although apparently that's what the other two airlines did. I guess if you have no turnover then you can, but at least at 9E turnover can occur daily so we had to wait till the last minute to ensure the accuracy that Bloch wanted.
And yes, I know it's probably not that simple, especially when you've procrastinated and now have to do work that should have been done days weeks or maybe even months ahead of time like the other two committees.

I'm sure you would be perfectly happy on day 4 of a trip having just flown 6 legs today and now have an 8 hour reduced rest, spending 4 hours of that rest going over an SLI so a bunch of disgruntled internet folks who will blame you no matter what can see their list 1 day sooner....or probably not since you didn't volunteer to do it for your airline.
All choices they made sir.

Hopefully 9E submitted the correct list and this thing is done today. I heard from management that the mistakes in the 9E list were from management, but since they were in favor of the 9E pilots the merger committee submitted the list. This is what caused the dispute. Don't know if it's true or not but it sounds plausible to me.
