I regret not taking the September class for GLA. Just got two emails from Eagle and Skywest saying " They weren't going to interview me because they have people with more experience. If GLA would to call me tomorrow I would definitely take they job.

We are not hiring for the rest of the year probably, just interviewing for poolies. Our aircraft are not getting repoed, they are simply being returned because the lease is up on them. As far as the training contract goes, I have been at Lakes for over 4 years, and have not heard of anybody actually having to pay it, regardless if you leave the day after your checkride or the day before the contract is up. Besides, if you come here with 500 hours, it will take you about 15 months to upgrade anyway, then you stick around for another year to get your 1000 PIC. Very few people leave before their training contract is done, and it's not because they are tied into it. And if they do leave, Lakes doesn't go after people too much anyway. If you get furloughed then don't come back to Lakes, nobody is going after you to pay up.
Lake's isn't going belly up guys. The media is really good at wording things to make them appear worse than they are. We are simply refinancing our fleet. We wouldn't be doing interviews and going to career fairs if that were the case. So yes the OCT class was cancelled, but it's just because we are adequately staffed, and not because we are going under or are a sinking ship.

For the purposes of completing requests for information by AFS-620, the FAA defines reportable legal actions as: *“Summaries of FAA legal enforcement actions ‘resulting in a finding’ by the Administrator, of a violation that was ‘not subsequently overturned’.”
