any idea on a realistic eta? I know you said early next week...I know it's pointless to speculate. when they get it finished they'll put it out, just wish we could hear something

No that's the best I could get. Sorry but until they decide how much they want to spend on secondaries, I guess we are all just waiting.

Default Heres the latest update!!

Dear Pilots,
On Monday, I sent you a communication related to the delay in the award of
Realignment Notice 11-09. I committed to you at that time that if our projected
time line changed I would follow up with additional communication. I am once
again disappointed to advise you that we ran into additional challenges with the
award and are yet not in a position to publish.
When I drafted the notice on Monday I noted that “the Company apologizes for
the delay in the award.” Today, I would like to let you know that I personally
apologize for the delay in this award. I have learned a lot in my 1st two and a half
months here and one thing that is very clear to me is that we simply don’t have
appropriate automation in place to handle a realignment bid of this magnitude
and complexity. Addressing this short-coming will be a priority as we move
forward so that we can avoid similar issues in the future.
The planning personnel and ALPA representatives that are working to complete
this award deserve our sincere appreciation. They have worked tirelessly on your
behalf and have earned my heartfelt gratitude as they have navigated – largely
manually - through this award process.
Based on where we are in the process, we believe that it will be early next week
before we are able to provide you with the results of the award. I sincerely wish I
could provide a definitive date to you but it is clear that each day of processing
comes with new twists and turns.
I sincerely appreciate your patience and would be remiss if I didn’t publicly thank
the Association for the assistance that they have provided on your behalf. Please
keep your eyes open for another update – we will reach out again if the time line
improves or deteriorates.
Warm Regards,
---

Hopefully I speak for the majority when I say how disappointed I am with the company. I realize we are in a state of change, and that the leadership of old is partly responsible for the shortcomings of the present. But that just doesn't cut it. I'm tired of poor communication or an empty, often too late "sorry." "We don't have the manpower, staffing, infrastructure, automation etc." is really no excuse. Late bids, late awards, late vacancies cannot continue to be the norm. And as this type of incompetence is continually expected, the outcome really never change. The company, and more specifically the pilot group, is losing out on opportunity after opportunity, specifically new flying aircraft and new flying, because we have been mismanaged for years. This type of behavior is not tolerated on the line as our a**es are on the line each and everyday, dealing with our less than perfect and poorly trained SOC, but with management it is acceptable? Save your pizza parties and show us leadership, all the while understanding that leadership and management are two very different concepts. "Do as I say, not as I do" will not be accepted anymore.

+1...it is extremely frustrating...knowing they did the last realignment by hand and now doing this one that is roughly 10 times bigger doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Another issue I see after this whole debacle is done...is your going to have alot of new pilots on new A/C, new dispatchers, and FA's on the jet side that are going to be bitter towards each other with the way the Steelworkers(9E) are hosing AFA (XJ) on the 3-1 ration of integration which won't hold up in court...not a good series of events coming up...While I know management has alot going on, their communication skills are poor, we have had alot of issues with communicating to chief pilots over on the XJ side
