Pinacolaba D-Day Round 2

But it's okay to have us working weekends/holidays/day offs when the job needs to get done? Look, I'm one of those guys that if I know something needs to get done, I just roll up my sleeves and do it. The only thing I've seen outta MEM or MSP or wherever they're doing this by hand is a weekly memo hidden in some out of the way place on the company website that says "Sorry. Computers still messed up. It's coming sometime in the near future." Rinse and repeat a week later. To me, that just seems like there's not a great sense of urgency on their part. If I were to put that kind of effort forth on each flight, I'd never be out on time and get called on the carpet every time I was a minute late. Wonder if I can pull the "Well, the ACARS kinda goofed, and that's why we were late" excuse and it'll fly.....for two weeks.
Who exactly ARE the front line soldiers and who are the generals in this case? I'm not even sure (passed the guy signing the "It's not out yet" memos) who is doing this. I agree there needs to be top down transparency and some kind of accountability. However, in 5+ years at Pinnacle, I've never seen it. I'd love to. It would be a refreshing change from management hiding in a bulletproof ivory tower.

Who exaclty is surprised by this?! If you were a 9E guy, then shame on you - You should have seen this from miles away!
On the other hand were an XJ or 9L guy, welcome to the family :-D
It'll only get better, and better, and better!
@Higney, just a floater, if you could build JFK trips with LGA layovers again, I would owe you some beer!!!

FWIW, in the navy, the standing joke was "two weeks". Whatever the project, it would be done in two weeks.... Forteen days later, "it'll be two weeks."
Beter late and correct than on time and messed up.

If Pinnacle was a person in the Air Force...their head would be on a platter inside my trophy case in my office OR somebody is pulling an all nighter cause my shoes will look like patent leather after they remove them from someones rear.
This has got to be costing the company money...time spent and time lost. Somebody needs to get aggressive with timelines so they can be met and exceeded. This is how you form a successful Unit and the same for a successful company. Period.

When I was in the Air Force, it's was if you are early you are on time...if you are on time you're late...if you are late you are in trouble.

As much I'd like to agree with you, we have guys on our side saying the same thing, not just 9E.
