Jr CA's....don't rub in in your FO's face....drinks are on you on the overnights. You WILL take the fat one. You WILL NOT be at FedEx the second you hit 1000 TPIC and your FO is still in the right seat.

Sr FO's....You would have bid CA too if the tables were turned. The decision sucks. Not any pilot's fault. Time to deal with it. You get free drinks and a skinny one at least. And probably get to embarrass your CA's because of their lack of knowledge quite often!
Lol, as a 10 year guy going to fly with 9E at a new company in a new airplane, I'm going to be very happy flying with guys that have been in the airplane 4 or 5 years.

Keep my ass outa trouble!

Look at the results. The top 1/3rd at Pinnacle did exceedingly well..
Define "exceedingly well." obviously your definition has nothing to do with losing relative seniority, as mine does. Yes FO's got shafted on fences and upgrades. And why would the committee, who I know are not lifers here, be solely focused on protecting a group they are not even a member of?

At least they had the balls to be on the committee, no one else did. Armchair quarterbacking...

You gotta make it through sim training first, Bartok

How could we 1200 have known? Everything about the process was kept in the dark by our merger committee. As already mentioned, even after the hearings were closed and the arbitrator was deciding the binding award, our own committee didn't even tell us what our final proposal was. Only after Colgan called them out on public forums did we FINALLY get an 'update' confirming our Colgan staple.

You sure about that? If I recall there were a lot of hands raised to be on that committee.

Being selected is no excuse for failing miserably.

ok, none of the tough guys on this board volunteered I should say. And I don't recall there being "a lot" of hands raised, but our definitions may differ by perspective.

A gain in relative seniority is absolutely irrelevant when every other position in the combined companies is fenced off.

It's like having a coupon that says "50% OFF -- TOMORROW." It looks good, but it's unusable in practice.

First of all, the one time I tried to volunteer for a ALPA position, I was told they were already 'full' and later I found out they weren't, and rather, they wanted to give someone else (one of their own club members) that same spot.

If I had known I could be a member of the SLI team, I would have done it 200%, and I would have never backed a plan that would essentially be a staple for Colgan.

And not lifers? Do you really think that the head of the Pinnacle SLI merger committee will go somewhere else? I doubt it. Of the 3 people on our merger committee, 1 was above 50 and the other above 40. Only the FO was a youngster, in his 20s.
