Wow, I heard almost exactly the same thing from some when I upgraded to the 900 instead of the Saab. Now mind you this was from the same more senior guys that could have bid the 900 but chose the Saab for the better schedule. Then when they started getting parked and the schedules went to hell, it was somehow my fault for already being on the jet getting the now bigger pay.
Bid what you want. Don't blame others for doing the same thing. I agree the Bloch integration was garbage, and you should be giving it to your merger comitee for dropping the ball big time. But at this point, it's over, bid what you want in the order you want.

listening to alot of these posts, everytime there is a Jr 9L CA and sr 9e/XJ FO, we're gonna need a check airman in the jumseat to play referee....thanks for the job security!

Jr CA's....don't rub in in your FO's face....drinks are on you on the overnights. You WILL take the fat one. You WILL NOT be at FedEx the second you hit 1000 TPIC and your FO is still in the right seat.

Sr FO's....You would have bid CA too if the tables were turned. The decision sucks. Not any pilot's fault. Time to deal with it. You get free drinks and a skinny one at least. And probably get to embarrass your CA's because of their lack of knowledge quite often!

+1. There is movement. PCL and XJ guys in the Q. Quotas are met. The 9L guys upgrading will see the next 4-5 years on RSV. Which is not a good place at PCL. Everyone has a price to pay. Time to move on. Let's get out there and get those on time stats up and.....Bwaahaaa haaaa haaaa. I kid I kid. Time to move on though.

I agree with XJcaptain. I have flown both jets and turbo-props. I would fly with a prop guy any day over someone who has only flown jets (unless they are former/current military). I've flown jets with idiots that would bash turbo-prop pilots until they were blue in the face. And when the crap hit the fan, they would lose their composure over any situations out of the norm (ie. weather, icing, emergencies) while all along I'm sitting across from them, cool as a cucumber. I owe it all to my training and experience flying turbo-props!

I can't even blame Bloch for this.

Our Merger Committee messed this up so badly, the repercussions of the failure and stupidity of our committee will last for years. Pinnacle pilots who had expectations to obtain upgrades that were coming because we were so understaffed are seeing both XJ and 9L take almost everything.

Don’t forget XJ and 9L are losing flying and are pillaging our captain positions and senior FO positions. Guys who would have been furloughed at XJ are now captains or senior FOs.

The 9E Merger Committee went for the win and lost the opportunities our pilots brought to this merger.

Bloch only ruled on what he was given. Our guys gave him a big pile of dung and we ended up with even less than we started.

if they didn't go for the win they would have been criticized by 1200 other 9e pilots...everyone has a crystal ball that sees into the past...

There is a difference between a win and unreasonable. They got slapped for being unreasonable and now we are the ones paying for it.

This is absolutely false. They were solely focused on protecting the 9E lifers from the XJ lifers. All other considerations were secondary.

Look at the results. The top 1/3rd at Pinnacle did exceedingly well. The rest of us got a 6 foot shaft up our asses. No protections and no bidding power except on our own planes.

I think it's clear by the results what the priority was of the 9E SLI committee. And they can burn for it.

This brings to mind the Northern Mississppi Flying Club moniker.
