Flight: The spoilers operate in proportion with the up aileron to provide roll control. When one turns the control wheel, it operates both the aileron and spoiler. There are two sets of spoilers, the inboard and outboard spoilers. The outboard spoilers are disabled above 170 KIAS and re-enabled below 165 KIAS.
Ground: Each spoiler has a set "lift-dump" valves that cause the spoilers to fully extend when the following conditions are met:
-Flight/Taxi Switch is in the FLIGHT position
-Both Power levers are less than Flight Idle + 12 degrees
-Main Landing Gear are on the ground
-Hydraulic Pressure is available

To anyone who has SJS....The 200 is a pig! If you enjoy crappy climbing power and climb limits in the summer of the mid 20's, then this is the best plane to fly! The only time one may reach M.83 in this plane at FL360 is on a flight from the east coast to MSP. It needs to be the middle of January, have an ISA of -10, and hit your initial cruise alt at a speed of .68 and hope to be to .83 by GRB. Like I said...these engines were designed for this plane as a corporate jet with 8 people on it, not 50.

Can the 9 even do that? Or is it limited to .81 in RVSM?
