Anyone?? Including Eagle itself, at an attempt to keep the flying by working for less. Also any other airline that wants to sneak around AA scope and try and get the in as well. Hopefully a lack of pilots over the next 5 years, really craps on AMRs plan here, otherwise this will be nasty. Its likes bend over and take it now or keep your pride but we will bend someone else over and they will take your job.

Just remember there is only a shortage till people are losing their jobs. Then it just becomes musical chairs, and sucks for those playing.

Eagle cannot start an alter ego.

We are gonna get ***** slapped no matter how we vote. I would rather be ***** slapped and at least have a shot at career progression. As opposed to being ***** slapped into being like the guys in my class from Comair that were 6 year+ FOs and now starting over as new FOs at Eagle at age 33+, while I fly with Captains that are the same age and going to J6/Atlas/Virgin/Spirit/ETC or a few numbers away from the 824.

The only time the ***** slapping will end is if the majors actually see these retirements in A FEW YEARS, and don't give all their domestic flying to the regionals first to offset the need for pilots.

One way or another, Eagle is going to be getting rid of all the little ERJ's and transitioning to 70-seat CRJ's. With the exception of a small number of very senior pilots who don't leave, virtually ALL their future CRJ captains will be on ERJ or ATR rates.
Not true. The total amount of pilots in each band is in direct proportion to each fleet size. If we park all ATRs and EMJs and replace them with CRJ7 we all get CRJ7 pay.
Also if we get rid of the ATR that pay band goes away.

Only till the first amendment round in 2014. Then all pay rates will be tied to the cheapest competitors and tied to their longevity as well.

Management can persue the arbitration process if necessary to recalculate longevity/rates downward yearly thereafter, ensuring you are "competitive" pilots.....another word is "cheap".

You're screwed.
