Never said it did, pal. Do a little more reading (listening) and a little less barking.

I did, however mention the 100 seat aircraft would either be for Eagle or a potential codeshare with Jetblue. At this point there are no other scenarios involving 100 seat aircraft at AMR.

As for more facts...sorry, I don't have any of the copy and paste variety. Two days ago I did ask some construction guys in the terminal if they had heard anything regarding an expansion of terminal B. I didn't say anything about 100 seat aircraft.

They responded by saying that not only was an expansion happening, it was for 100 seat aircraft and AA was wanting them to "put a rush" on completing the construction.

Like I said before...I have been hearing this for a few weeks now. That article today was the first I had seen of it outside of Eagle.

I asked some construction guys and they told me Jetblue was going to takeover some CRJ destinations served by AE and that in 6 months they wanted half the American Eagle signs replaced with American Connection, and Jetblue put on the new gates.

haha, yeah.... I don't believe that for a second. You know why? It's because nothing has been started yet! There is no construction taking place. Not to mention, your average construction worker just knows so much detail concerning projects that haven't started...

I quote directly from the VP of operations at DFW, (the guy who runs the airport....) ," There are plans for a possible nine-gate expansion for Eagle in Terminal B that could be used by 100-seat jets."

Can that be any clearer? It's "plans", and it's only "possible". Your sources are hardly credible. Did you also see they say that terminal A construction isn't going to be done til 2017?

You're preaching to the converted! 3 years ago at our company a fuel supervisor at LAX mentioned we were buying fuel trucks capable of holding 100,000lbs JetA. It could only mean one thing. We would be buying jets capable of flying to Hawaii. It's coming any day now. Blahhhh!!!!!

If you would like to provide a logical argument..for whatever reason; start with this one: Explain why Eagle's terminal in DFW is being expanded and modified to accomodate 100 seat jets. This is not rumor but fact.
My garage can accommodate a Lamborghini and a Ferrari, but you will never see those parked in there.

But there's an article so it all must be true! Let's be thankful we have the press to help start threads here!

The crack in the koolaid still hasn't worn off.

AA hasn't given up scope beyond what is already out of the bag. Until you see an LOA or something from the major carrier, nothing will come to the regionals that isn't already a known possibility.

I don't work for AMR in any way, but airports are constantly trying to "modernize" in hope of new business. If anyone is at a regional and wants to leave, bigger airplanes are a kiss of death, those that want to stay will love it. Those who want to stay typically aren't the ones on the forums; they are home and very happy with things now and only interested in future opportunities within their place. Not a knock on anyone, just the dynamics as demonstrated across the boards.

I'm with DENpilot, you must be new. Until the jets are on property you're pi$$ing into the wind. Yes I'm not an Eagle pilot but regardless of what ship you're on it's still the same rough sea.

Here at XJT, if the stuff that came from the CPO, senior capts, union reps was ever remotely true, we'd have 70 seaters, a DEN and IAD base a year ago and so much more. What you are talking are typical airline rumors. You clearly haven't been in this industry long. When big things happen, everyone knows at the same time. There is none of this secretive crap that only union reps and CPs know about.
I truly wish more would understand this simple statement. People are so eager to accept rumors as fact and fail to understand the legal ramifications behind leaking sensitive information.

Not to mention billions in ObamaStim being spent to update our nations airports.

CVG redid the interiors of Concourse C right before Delta abandoned it.

CVG built a third parallel runway to ease congestion right before Delta cut CVG flights by 70%.

CVG spent millions on a new screening checkpoint as Delta was cutting CVG flights by 70%.

CVG redid the ramps around Concourse A right after Delta abandoned it.

CVG is currently renovating the interior of Concourse A for nobody in particular.

Once gubment money has been allocated, it will be spent. Even if the justification goes away.
