I wouldnt want the ATR either if I lived in NY, the commute to SJU would suck, and MIA ATR would not be fun at all with all the grid lock currently going on.

Ignore buffoons on here, and bid EMJ LGA, it will give you the best long term, JFK is ok but just saw a bubble pop so you could be stuck RSV long term, kind of the same with LGA CRJ. I would say hands down EMJ LGA but you might have even missed part of that bus, but its by far the best bet.

Lol go easy on the new guy! We were all there at one point or another. I'm with my current company because they fly jets and had upgrade of 2 years at the time. Who knew I would get furloughed for two plus years and looking at upgrade of 5 years now. Hindsight is 20/20.

Take the others' advice about living in base and bid whatever that'll get you there. Commuting sucks! Crj and Erj are both great planes. I think eagles only fly the 700s and IMO that's a better plane than the 200's or Erjs hands down.

I love these people who hate on the ATR. Have you ever flown it? Heaven forbid you didnt go straight to a shiny new barbie jet. I didn't know props were beneath you now.

The ATR holds more people, more cargo, and goes to 10 times cooler places than any emj I know of.

But hey, what do I know.

~end rant.

Thanks!

Want to know about life at Eagle? Read the Eagle Life thread...it's all there in great detail.

I started on the SAAB and am a better pilot for it. I wouldn't be too quick to turn your nose up at a plane with fans up front. That being said there is nothing like living in base...even if you are on Reserve.

No, he said he obviously wanted to avoid the ATR in his first paragraph. It wasn't until his second paragraph that he mentioned anything about bases.

I would bid the CRJ. Reason is when they file bankruptcy next week the ERJ's will be the first to go. The equipment is obsolete in today's environment. More importantly I would bid and live in a base that pays the highest in unemployment income.
