pick the equipment you want so you can base swap Crj folks cannot move into the emb . Atr folks are seat locked a year Choose wisely and best of luck !

So I start class with American Eagle on Monday and I haven't been able to decide what aircraft to take if I have the pick of the litter. I sincerely want to avoid the ATR obviously, but I have even feelings towards the CRJ and ERJ.
I want to be NY based so LGA or JFK works well. Any suggestions from those out there more experienced than I am? Which plane will I sit reserve on the shortest? Are the upgrade possibilities better for either plane?

Dude, IF they file for bankruptcy and IF the furlough pilots, it will be based on seniority, not on equipment!

and honestly why would anyone want to fly that huge hunk of junk ATR? Its old, has hardly any AC, you have to get off last, all the legs are like 1 hour, and it pays less. Everyone trys to avoid it, then comes on here and talks how great it is. The only people who like the ATR are those who got it but did not want it, then they talk like they are something special.
