American Eagle Airlines is excited to announce that we have adjusted our new hiring minimum. American Eagles hiring goals are to hire over 670 pilots in 2011, and foresee hiring to continue into 2012. Our new minimums are as follows:

500 Total time with 50 hours multi-engine
Successful completion of the hiring process
Successful completion of ATP's Regional Jet Standards Course (Paid for by American Eagle Airlines)
Two year signed commitment to fly for American Eagle Airlines
Pilots who currently have 800 total time and 100 hours multi-engine time will not be subject to completing the RJ Course or the two year signed commitment. Pilots interested in working for American Eagle should ensure their application is updated and published via airlineapps. If you have an application on file with us, please send an email to [email protected]!

Sincerely,
American Eagle Pilot Recruitment Team
Those ads never seem to change...I think they ran all through the post-9/11 debacle too.

Not from ATP because ATP got their 3K from them for a useless course... Only side note is... Ya know that job that was waiting for you after you finish this course that will be of no use to you... well ahhh its no longer there.

Oh but dont worry... a massive pilot shortage on the way.

Personal Question for those recently called for an interview: What where your total and multi engine times like when you submitted your applications. I know the hiring mins are low enough already, but I still have a long way to go to even for 500/100. I'm optimistic about the future and would like to work for AE.......I too have a decent job, and folks think I'm crazy for pursuing an airline career. But I've gone years on a ramen noodle diet, and at that time, the only thing I was flying was the flag of discontent. experience is experience even if all I get is an interview.
